2020 Virtual Band Camp!
In these uncertain times, the TUMB is facing many challenges. Earlier this summer the American Athletic Conference directed that football games would be played with only the team and their staff on the field. This means no field shows from marching bands. Soon after, the TUMB learned its annual Band Camp, where members move onto campus early and spend dedicated time to build traditions and prepare for the fall field shows, would be canceled.
In order to press through and continue to provide the tools for excellence even with reduced rehearsal time, the TUMB is putting together an incredible virtual camp experience. We reached out across the globe to bring some of the best faces in the activity into the homes of our members for digital instruction. In addition to sessions from heavy-hitters in the band world, students will experience several sessions on important issues related to the arts.
